CBC and RBC morphology

Patients with double heterozygous Hemoglobin SC Disease (HbSC) may have a slight to moderate anemia. The CBC and peripheral blood smear for an adult patient with HbSC appear below. The arrow in the image of the peripheral blood smear is pointing to a HbSC crystal.
