Most tickborne infections are reported during April through September. This is due to the fact that ticks and people are most active at this time. The list of tickborne diseases is long and growing.
Most share the same clinical pictures:
- Fever
- Headache
- Chills
- Malaise
- Myalgia
- Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and/or loss of appetite
They can be characterized by the type of organism causing the infection:
