Technical Preparation of Iron Stain on Bone Marrow Concentrate (Myeloid-Erythroid Layer)

Following the bone marrow aspiration, select one myeloid-erythroid (M-E) smeared slide and dip it in methanol for cellular fixation. Once the smear has been dipped in methanol, remove the slide and let it air dry. The slide can sit until the rest of the slides are prepared and ready for iron staining.
