CBC and RBC morphology

CBC results for patients with Sickle Cell Disease who have a hereditary persistence of fetal hemoglobin (HbS/HPFH) may appear normal or demonstrate a mild to moderate anemia. The CBC and peripheral blood smear for a patient with HbS/HPFH appear below.
