Some advantages of using flowcharting include:
- It is a very straightforward way of conveying a process.
- It helps all those involved in a process understand how each step impacts the entire process.
- It may show weak links in the chain where the risk could be high, and problems may exist.
However, a flowchart may be difficult to create especially if the process is complicated. An example is shown in the graphic.
