Exposure Incident

  • Even after taking all the proper precautions there is still a small chance of an exposure incident.
  • Exposure incident:
    Blood or another potentially infectious body fluid coming into direct contact with mucous membranes or nonintact skin.
  • Parenteral exposure:
    Needle stick or being cut by a contaminated sharp.
