Small Surface Spills

  • Small blood spills on work surfaces may be cleaned by first laying paper towels on the spill to blot and avoid splattering, and then applying disinfectant.
  • Larger spills will require other methods.
  • Use an approved cleaning method.
  • Use appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Be aware of the potential for splatter and contamination.
