Mitotic Spindle

Anti-mitotic spindles antibodies refers to several different patterns which, in a broad sense, includes CENP-F, Centromere and Midbody. However, in the case of the cytoplasmic patterns it only applies to the staining of the spindle fibers.

Mitotic Spindle Antibodies:

Several antigens

  • NuMA, HsEg5, others

Cytoplasmic pattern

  • Stain spindle fibers in metaphase mitotic

  • Suspect mitotic spindle

Clinical significance

  • Various autoimmune disease
  • Mycoplasma pneumoniae infections
