Observed collection

If the observer is not the collector, the observer may not accept the specimen after observing its collection. It is, however, the responsibility of the observer to watch and make sure the donor takes the specimen to the collector.

After the donor has given the specimen to the collector, the observer must write in the REMARKS section of the Custody and Control form: "I (Observer's name) observed the collection of this specimen" then note the date and time.
