Where is Formaldehyde Used?

Formaldehyde is used to preserve tissue that is removed during surgery, endoscopy and autopsies. It is therefore found in surgery suites, endoscopy suites, surgical pathology areas, histology areas, and anywhere else that tissue needs to be preserved for processing.
