Introduction to OSHA

The Exposure Control Plan

Employers must develop and implement an exposure control plan to protect employees from exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

This is a document that explains how the employer will implement the OSHA standard. It also specifies what to do if an exposure occurs.

The Exposure Control Plan must include an Exposure Determination which lists jobs that will or may subject workers to occupational exposures.
