Electricity-induced Injury

The major mechanisms of electricity-induced injury include:

  • Electrical energy causing direct tissue damage
  • Conversion of electrical energy into thermal energy causing massive tissue destruction
  • Direct trauma resulting from falls or violent muscle spasms
