Work Practice Controls

  • Work Practice controls specify how to perform a task. Wherever there is a risk of exposure, they forbid:
    • Smoking
    • Eating or drinking
    • Applying cosmetics or lip balm
    • Handling contact lenses
    • Mouth pipetting
    • Food and drink in specimen refrigerators
