  • You cannot tell who is carrying a bloodborne pathogen. You must use Standard Precautions!
  • This is required by the OSHA standard.
  • Standard Precautions apply to all:
    • Blood
    • Body fluids
    • Secretions (except sweat)
    • Excretions
    • Non-intact skin
    • Mucous membranes
