Respirators (continued)

  • Respirators acceptable for use with formaldehyde are of the negative pressure type and must be face-fitted for each employee.
  • Because of the OSHA face fit requirements, any employee using a respirators must not have facial hair.
  • Wash your face after each respirator use to prevent skin irritation from exposure to formaldehyde in the areas of your face not protected by the respirator.
