Practices that prevent HIV exposure
Work Practice controls specify how to perform a task. Wherever there is a risk of exposure, they forbid:
- smoking
- eating or drinking
- applying cosmetics or lip balm
- handling contact lenses
- mouth pipetting
- food and drink in specimen refrigerators
