| Non-HFE Mutations Genes in addition to HFE have been linked to hereditary hemochromatosis (HH). They include the hepcidin, hemojuvelin, transferrin receptor, and ferroportin genes. Mutations of some are linked with dominantly inherited HH, juvenile HH, and African iron overload.
